This was a gentle read. The pace and style meander nicely back and forth between the interwoven stories of Eunice and Bomber, and Laura and Anthony.
Yes, in places it was a little predictable (the love interest being a case in point) but it was entertaining, amusing, poignant and quirky.
I loved the short stories within the story. The lost items being given a meaning, good or bad, and telling personal tales of their owners. Some tales were heart wrenching and some heart warming, not all lost things should be found.
Sexual identity and diversity were sensitively handled. The 'ghost' story a little less successfully. I also found the coincidences a little clunky, but these were minor details that didn't detract from the overall charm of the book.
