Tag! You're it! is our new team challenge for summer 2020! Every week we will call three things - a genre, word, and number. Those three things are "it" for the week and each book that your teams reads during that time-frame that matches "it" will earn the team 5 points PLUS double page points. Any other books just get normal page points. Please post finished books as soon as possible, as we will be going off of finished dates, so it won't matter to "hold" off posting books for a better category.

Page points:
100-199=1 point
200-299=2 points
300-399=3 points
400-499=4 points
500-599=5 points
600-699=6 points
700-799=7 points
and so on...

Book Rules:

• Books must be at least 100 pages.
• Cookbooks, Picture books, Manga, Graphic Novels, Poetry books are not allowed for this challenge. Aside from that, any books over 100 pages count for the challenge.
•Rereads are fine, so long as you don't reread the same book during this challenge
•Books must be started after the challenge start date

Sign-ups close June 21st. Challenge officially starts June 22nd and ends after ten rounds/weeks. Categories will be called on Mondays.

Categories:

Genres: Fairytale, Fantasy, Historical fiction, Mystery, Romance, Science fiction, Suspense/Thriller, Contemporary, Young adult, Western, Amish, Biblical,

Words | can be found in title, author's name, series' name, object found on cover, or even in the book's text
Words: flower, tree, horse, fence, chair, key, phone, hat, water, bridge, umbrella, coffee

Numbers | can be found in the title/series/name, page count, time/setting, or publication date
Numbers: 2, 19, 8. 4, 18, 7, 15, 11, 14, 10, 16, 9

Q&A:

1. Does a book have to get one, two, or three of the It qualifications to earn the 5 points + double page points?
A. It just has to work for one of the "It" qualifications called to earn the 5 points and double page points

2. Do non-It books still collect the 5 points, a lesser amount of points, or only the single page points?
A. No, non-It books don't collect the 5 points - just the single page points

It's hard to say how many books I read per week, because it fluctuates so much. In May, I hit 30-ish for the whole month; the month before was about 10; and I've had low months of only 4-6.

To be safe, I guess I better say 10-18 books per month.

That would break down to about 2-5 books per week.

Yay definitely signing up.
I couldn't read much in the last months, but summer vacation starts on July 10th, so I guess by then I will be able to read 1 - 2 books per week. Maaayybe even 3 in the best case.

It fluctuates with me somewhat, but it's been around 4-5 books a week recently.

When we finish a book, is a review required for each one or not?

Having had COVID-19... possibly twice in the last couple of months... I've had trouble concentrating, and as a result, I haven't been able to read much at all. Now that I'm better, I want to get back into reading and this challenge will inspire that! :)

Question: I know it says you only need one of the categories for the 5 points. Do you get 5 points for each category you do get or only 5 points irrespective of the total different categories you get?

Only 5 per book no matter how many it works for...I only have three different options, so that it isn't super restrictive.
