Faith Reidenbach | 73 comments Here's how to start a “Buddy Reads” conversation:

1. In the Buddy Reads section of the discussion board, propose a book you would like to read. The book should be something on the group's shelves or eligible for our shelves.

2. When someone responds, decide together on a start date and, if you wish, a reading schedule. (For example: Read Chapters 1 and 2 by January 15, chapters 3 and 4 by January 30, etc.)

3. The two of you (or more) will post public discussion comments as you read. One person can volunteer to serve as a discussion leader, if desired. The discussion will not be moderated.

4. Any member of this group is free to join a Buddy Read at any point during the discussion.

5. More than one Buddy Read can happen at a time.
