The second half of the book, the writing technique just seemed to deteriorate by the chapter. At one point the POV changed mid-sentence, roaming from Reynevan to an omnipotent narrator, and the author could not stop telling the reader what the characters were feeling, rather than showing us through use of descriptive prose.
