Leslie | 16369 comments This is another book which I have only experienced through the film adaptation -- the 1984 movie directed by John Huston, starring Albert Finney. Powerful film but I found it a bit disturbing (in the vein of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf)...

I haven't read this one. Actually, I'd never even heard of it before, and I wasn't aware of the movie either. Looks interesting.
