Sukanya | 35 comments I guess I am really late joining this group but I am still glad that I did find this group. I was looking for some good recommendations and there are indeed a lot of them here. I am hoping that the books I read this year will count towards this challenge. So far I have got

1. Kaffee und Zigaretten by Ferdinand von Schirach

2. Liebeserklärungen by Wladimir Kaminer

3. Gugelhupfgeschwader by Rita Falk

4. Halali by Ingrid Noll

I do read a lot of books in German but as this challenge is about books by german writers so I will only be sticking to them.

The next book on my list is "Tyll" by Daniel Kehlmann.

Sukanya | 35 comments I put Tyll on the hold for a while and instead read In Liebe Dein Karl by Ingrid Noll. The book is a bunch of short stories and personal accounts. I liked it.

I know many of Wladimir Kaminer's books have been translated into English and a few of Ferdinand von Schirach. But I am not so sure about the other authors. I have never come across any English translations but I might be wrong.
