For this round of Rea-a-Thon, we are going to be in teams!! So please do register your interest as early as possible so I can put you in teams (will probably in 2 or 3 teams, depending on how many would like to participate). If you have completed a Prompt or 2, please note that when signing up so I can evenly distribute participants in teams to achieve team goal.

There are 2 Goals in this RaT:

There is also a Group goal of 16,000 pages.

Is it just read a book from the prompt or complete a book for the prompt for the team goal?

For team goal, the book to be read (start & finish) within the RaT week.

For counting pages overall, any pages read (whether just finishing or just starting) counts.

I'm in. No prompts complete yet, but getting very close on a couple

So if I understand this correctly, if the teams have 6 people, then each of us would only have to read a single book start to finish in order to help achieve the team goal? But if fewer than 6 per team, then each of us would need to complete more?

Tien, do you have an idea how many people you'd like to put on each team? (I'm trying to decide whether it's even reasonable for me to sign up, or whether I'd just be a handicap to the team I'm assigned to.

Susan, you should join! It will be fun. I'm sure there will be several members who don't mind reading more than one book so you should be fine.

Susan, to date, I have 10 participants (11 including you). At this stage, I'm only thinking of 2 teams.

As Lusie said though I'm sure some wouldn't mind reading more than 1 book so I'm sure you won't be a handicap. Plus, we're doing this for fun so I'm sure this won't matter one way or another.

You reading the big one sounds good to me Tien. I can do any prompt except 3. I was about to start one for prompt 1. So maybe I can do that one. I am pretty sure I can read a book for several prompts if needed

Team B (Hey! Bea is on Team B!) I have books for prompts 2, 3 and 6.

We need a fast reader for prompt 2. Anyone want to tackle the Big Book? Mine is 555 pages and do-able; but I am trying to finish the 973 page Pillars also, so would prefer to read a smaller book.

At present I have started books for prompts 1, 2, and 5, so 3 or 6 would work best for me.

I'll join. I've completed one prompt (#1).

I'll take prompt 5, since no-one on Team B has mentioned that specifically, and I have one I can start tomorrow. I also have a digital book from the library that would qualify for either prompt 2 or prompt 4, but I'm nervous about whether I'll be able to finish it or not. I'll try, and then we'll see which place we need it.

I was down for Prompt 1. Lusie said she would do Prompt 5.

Still no takers for Prompt 3 but I am likely to read 2 books this week as I am on annual leave so happy to take it on if no one else can.

Just noticed that Kristina has asked to join and needs allocating to a team. I think Team B has six and we have 5, so perhaps, if Kristina is assigned to Team A, and is happy to do Prompt 3, we're good to go!
