What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

thought that this might be called "Trouble in/on Paradise" but can't find it using that name. no idea who author was.
The ship crash lands on a planet I think called Paradise, which it isn't. they trek through a jungle, being attacked by animals & vegitation to a city which is run by computer authority. they manage to convince the system to repair the ship & leave. The captain and some of the crew decide to return, and buy a "clunker" space ship. convice the residents that they are par of ann empire, and are royalty. ship is actually a "space patrol" vessel, being used as a recruiting tool.
