Do you plan on setting any reading goals for yourself in 2015? Every year Goodreads asks its users to set a personal goal for the number of books they wish to read by the end of the year. Other websites create different kinds of reading challenges, setting goals for reading different genres or completing all books by a certain author. Tell us what your reading goals are?

I saw the PopSugar Challenge on Pinterest, and thought it looked interesting and challenging. My progress has been show going so far. Perhaps it wasn't the best idea to start the year with a 966 page collection of short stories. Some of the categories sound like they'll be a challenge, but I'm excited to see what I can find. Turns out The Hunt for Red October was published my birth year, so I think that one is next on my list!

A 966 page book is definitely big a way to start off the new year! I want to read a variety of genres since I tend to read the same books, but I don't know if that will happen. But I'm going to try!

Loren | 8 comments I made a goal of reading 30 books this year. Last year I read 29 and my goal was 24. Thought I'd try and improve it.

I like the Buzzfeed goal to read all the books I already own before buying any new ones. I'm always collecting books I want to read, and then never actually starting them. I did finally read Gone Girl. It had only been sitting on my shelf for 2 years.

Loren - 30 sounds like a good solid number to me!

Susan - I do the same thing! I have a list of books, but then never read them.

Wow! That's awesome, Angie. How did you pick your books? Were they on a list, or just whatever caught your eye? Good luck, we're pulling for you!
