NancyJ (nancyjjj) | 11067 comments This was a pure pleasure to read. I really like the main character. Zoe Goldman is a young psychiatrist with a fellowship at Children's hospital. She is smart, tall, a little awkward, and has ADHD. I really like her sense of humor. A catatonic Jane Doe patient comes in, and she is determined to help the police find out who she is. Her impulsive actions sometimes get her into trouble. A mysterious scar links her to other girls who went missing. The story gets complicated and dangerous, as Zoe fights to save her patient.

The suspense builds gradually and the plot really worked for me. This is the second book I read in this series, and I already picked up the third book. In between all the action, Zoe is studying for a major exam. I had fun trying to guess the answers to the questions, which sometimes linked to the story. I want to know what happens next in Zoe's life. Others might find the book a bit too nerdy, but it was fun for me.
