Here's my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Rightttt 😂 I initially didn’t like her but as I kept reading I was like wow she’s super entertaining I’m just so tired of the classic YA female protagonist that she ended up being so refreshing
<

The main character is what killed the book for me. She was so flat, no depth to her at all. We're repeatedly told that how villainous she is, but she falls for her target laughably fast, and all she cares about is making people lust after her. I told the person I was buddy reading with that she was just like the girl from the Pirate King book and but worse, and she had to remind that it was the same author. Oops 🙃
I'm having bad luck with this month's books!

1. first off- I picked it up and found the character entertaining but not deep. She did make me want to keep reading but kinda not agreeing that women think like that.
2. secondly- it was a fast pace book. I finished in three days and even though I didn't agree with the character's premise, the author did make me want to find out what happens. I did find the ending a bit predictable but not the plot twist. no spoiler alert here.
3. very sexually driven without any major twists other than the main character realizing she was kinda short sighted, which I expected. i could see this book among teenagers up for sex...or is that just me? 15 is a bit young and kinda illegal in some states lol.
4. works building..I had a hard time imagining the world until the end of book. electricity, full automatic rifles and horse drawn carriages? thoughts??
5. I did enjoy the magical results of relationship strain on a person who lives a long time. that was well thought out.
6. I thought the plot could have been more complicated but it was quick and detailed enough for YA.
