Alison | 9 comments Thanks for this thread, Sean. I'm with small (indie) publisher Honno (http://www.honno.co.uk/) so hope it's OK to talk about my novel here!
Someone Else's Conflict is a story of trust and betrayal, love and loyalty that contrasts the idyllic Yorkshire Dales setting with the gritty reality of Northern cities, underlaid with a backdrop of the troubled times in 1990s Croatia.
Find out more at my Goodreads page
Someone Else's Conflict by Alison Layland or the great page Lovereading have put up for the novel: http://tinyurl.com/m6sgwak - "A surprisingly sensitive and compassionate thriller where the lurking suspense surges forward and delivers blasts of turbulence and ferocity. This is subtle clever writing, you’re encouraged to fully invest in the characters before the tension really starts to increase. ...more than just a thriller, at its heart it is a story about friendship, responsibility, remorse and how the past can incarcerate and command everyday lives."

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 1127 comments Thanks for creating this thread, Sean; good to have a moderator that champions indies.

I have only written one thriller to date; it is of the psychological variety, and prompted the comment "A psychological thriller with a difference" from Sean. That may have something to do with the fact that the four books I published prior to the thriller were all fantasy.
So, if you fancy something with a difference, check it out; if you're brave enough to try a different genre altogether, maybe have a look at my fantasy novels (the first of which is free at the time of posting). All the other titles are available for free loan via Amazon Prime and Amazon Unlimited.

Thriller
Imperfect Strangers by David Staniforth Amazon Link: http://authl.it/B00JXOVKE4
How well do you know the people you see every day?

Sally hardly knows Keith. They're practically strangers until the day she smiles at him.

Would you smile so readily if you risked losing your friends?
Would you smile so readily if you risked losing your life?

Unfortunately, you can’t begin to know a person until you let them in.

Imperfect Strangers: A psychological thriller that simmers to a dark and dramatic climax.

Fantasy
Alloria (Labyrinth of labyrinths, #1) by David Staniforth Amazon Link: http://authl.it/180

On her tenth Birthday Alloria discovers her true identity is a mystery.

Her adoptive parents return to her an amulet that opens a mysterious labyrinth in the cellar where they found her, bare-footed and clutching a rag doll.

Seven years on, Alloria enters that labyrinth in search of answers: a quest that flings her into an adventure brimming with danger, pain, love, magic, and brutal honesty.

Fantasy Trilogy
Fuel to the Fire (Fuel to the Fire, #1) by David Staniforth FREE Amazon Link: http://authl.it/B00AGJR4VI
Ruler's Desire (Fuel to the Fire, #2) by David Staniforth Amazon Link: http://authl.it/B00AU50S66
Elemental Cascade (Fuel to the Fire #3) by David Staniforth Amazon Link: http://authl.it/B00IW62CFK

Having spent her entire life disguised as a boy to avoid the risk of being forced into sexual slavery, fifteen year old Davran finds herself transported to a world thought to be legend. With sunlight, an abundance of food and people that trust, this world is everything her home is not. She could be happy, she could disclose the love she feels for Ronyn (the dragon trainer’s son), but when Hesperus (the Keeper-of-Knowledge) discovers her, she may have to return to a world of misery where even suicide is no escape and where the most frightening monster is not the dragons or the razor-hounds, but the tyrannical ruler, Saurian.

My suspense/thriller:

A Spy Came Home

Available on Amazon only for now. Am watching and learning from the other authors here (wink wink) on their marketing and distribution techniques.

Thanks again! - HN

L.E. Fraser | 58 comments What a nice thread to support indie authors. I've read Ty's and have David's on my list. I’ll take a look at the rest that are listed here.

Perdition Games Simon Says by L.E. Fraser I write a mystery-thriller series that has unique plotlines, but follows the same main characters. Perdition Games: Simon Says is available now and Skully, Perdition Games is scheduled for release in June 2015. Excerpts are on the website at http://www.lefraser.com/

Joining a cult is easy, getting out alive is another story

When the secretive, wealthy Reid family hires PI Samantha McNamara to find their missing teenage daughter, Sam’s investigation leads to a commune recruiting adolescent girls. As the storm of the century shuts down emergency services, someone in the Reid family will do anything to keep Sam from finding Amanda and exposing the truth. The family’s dark tapestry slowly unravels the deeper Sam goes, and at the bottom lies nothing but betrayal, blame and murder.

THE WARRIOR'S DEBT, BOOK FOUR IN THE WARRIORS SERIES

The Warrior's Debt (Warriors series, #4) by Ty Patterson

The killer uses baseball bats to viciously murder his victims, all loners in New York.

He grows increasingly brutal with each kill and disappears into the shadows afterwards.

The NYPD’s investigation is going nowhere and in desperation they turn to Zeb Carter.

Zeb has some knowledge of killers. He hunts terrorists, mobs and killers of all kinds. He has some experience of killing. He’s an assassin.

However even with all his skills and the resources at his disposal, Zeb makes no progress.

His only hope is that killer makes a mistake.

The killer makes it personal.

He already has Zeb and his team on his radar.

He has ordered new bats, has prepared his killing ground and has a different victim profile in mind.

It’s time to paint the city red.
