I have only written one thriller to date; it is of the psychological variety, and prompted the comment "A psychological thriller with a difference" from Sean. That may have something to do with the fact that the four books I published prior to the thriller were all fantasy.
So, if you fancy something with a difference, check it out; if you're brave enough to try a different genre altogether, maybe have a look at my fantasy novels (the first of which is free at the time of posting). My normal job is the manager of an engineering department, but i work on writing fiction books on saturday and sunday morning, which puts me into the independent author category. I get a bit of help from my wife who does some proof reading and she helps me take pictures for the cover. I have two books now. My third will probably be out next March.
