I understand this happened to be a couple of times last year when doing a similar challenge. It was like the page numbers were teasing me.

Anastasia Kinderman | 942 comments I finally finished reading Moby-Dick; or, The Whale over the weekend! My copy was 822 pages (I got one with pictures, lol) so I guess I've rounded out my three books for the year.

I'll try to read the two I had planned this summer.

message 16: by Onni (new)

Onni Congratulations! I call it an accomplishment for anyone to finish that book! There is actually a movie coming out this March that is based on the book called 'In the Heart of the Sea'. Who knows whether it will be good or not, but here is a link to the trailer if you are interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWU5q...

This is one I know I wont do. I'm not good at reading big books. Last one I read was Stephen 11/22/63. That was a great read and worth it but it took me way too long.

Maya B | 825 comments The Warmth of Other Suns The Epic Story of America's Great Migration by Isabel Wilkerson The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of America's Great Migration was a great big book to read. It will probably be the only one. I like big books only if it can keep my attention and this one did just that!

message 22: by Maya (new)

Maya B | 825 comments The Help The Help by Kathryn Stockett

Anastasia Kinderman | 942 comments I have managed to finish this challenge! Probably the only one I will this year lol
