What's Next? discussion

Fast paced, dark and gripping. Great beach read but perhaps not for home alone and before bed. Detective thriller with threads of horror. Well written but undecided on the author's latest, The Shadows.

Thanks for the review. I almost picked The Shadows for my July BOTM box but went with Mexican Gothic. I want to read one of the Alex North books (but not before bed or home alone, I guess). My book club is looking for a thriller for August so I’ll add The Whispering Man to the list of suggestions.
