Leave your thoughts on the end of the book (Chapter 11: Notes on the Subjugation of the Martially Superior Foe through the end).

I also found some reader-created discussion topics, feel free to use them as a jumping-off point for your discussion on The Library at Mount Char as a whole.

Why do you think Fire was a common theme throughout the book?
What catalog would you put yourself in and why?
Another ongoing theme is the mention of Deities from other cultures, how do they tie into the plot?

Mindy'sBookJourney (mindysbookjourney) This is the most unique dark fantasy I have ever read. It was brutal, violent, but also had some amazing moments of levity. I loved the characters, the multiverse, and the idea of the catalogs. It was so good! 5 stars from me.

I give you all the credit in the world! I started this book with high hopes, but I just could not finish it. Like your review, I have seen so many 5 out of 5 stars, but I just could not connect with this story. So glad you enjoyed it, though! I will be back for The Phantom of the Opera next month :)

This was a weird read LOL
I liked the characters and it's a silly kind of take on how the universe works. Even though I enjoyed the characters, I couldn't really connect with any of them, least of all Carolyn.
I did really like the plot, though, there was some really good twists and turns although I think the stuff after Carolyn kills David gets dragged out for a long time. I listened to the audiobook at 3x speed just to power through it. For this author's debut novel. though, it's an impressive world he's built.
it's a 3.5 from me!
