4.5/5 stars. A much darker read than the ironic title suggests (Pollyanna-type female lead finds out her beloved dead father is not who he seems; male protagonist has his own tortured baggage to unpack). But the author brings two talented writers (and former college rivals) together in an anti-meet cute scenario and they spend much of the book trading witty barbs and fighting off mad chemistry. I waited until July to indulge myself in this and it was worth the wait! Only lost a half-star because the story started to meander but it was a super funny, single-sitting read type of book. Loved it.
