Thanks Darbella! I just figured out why I have so many unread books by this author to show up on repeat. My library doesn't have any of her books. The first in the series is not available as an ebook and Amazon only has one paperbook copy left for $17.99 plus shipping - Yikes! I'm going to have to find a used copy somewhere. Lol!

I just found a used copy for $4.99! It's in the mail. I'll let you know if I think it's good enough to continue the series. Book 2 is available electronically.

I did read (listened) to The Devilish Duke by Maddison Michaels. I thought it was pretty good. It was rather violent also. There were fights between the suitors and then a murderer on the lose. But it had good chemistry and pacing and I would read the author again. I may continue on with the series.
I listened to it even though the narrator was Justine Eyre. I had built her up as being terrible in my mind, and it really wasn't that bad. Not great by any means, but there are worse narrators, and I think I can listen to her occasionally. There's not much variation in the voices but it is listen-able for me.

Glad you enjoyed it! I'll have to check that out. I haven't even started my Q3 book.

This is one on my TBR list. I May need to move it up.

I plan to start after one of my current reads

I tried though kobo first. It was kepub.
When no one responded, I figured it out on my own. I'm glad you can do that with kobo!

Although many reviewers did not like this book at all, I thought it was sweet and easy to read. The cover is misleading and not related to the story at all. It is set in a small town on the coast in California. The hero used to be a sailor and now mans the lighthouse. The heroine is a redheaded daughter of a coal-miner who decided to settle down as the town schoolteacher and care for her 15 year old brother when her father moved on. The story isn't perfect, but I thought it was good for a debut. It was also original.

This will be a quarterly challenge, with a new theme each quarter. This year our third theme will be Repetition Do you have multiple TBRs from the same series, author, or other way you see reading as repetitive? This is the time--since we all seem to have lost our sense of time!
HOW IT WORKS:
1) The first poster will post 5 book titles that they pick from their TBR shelf.
2) The next poster will choose 2 books from the first poster's titles and choose 5 book titles off their own TBR. The first poster will then choose to read at least 1 of the 2 books chosen.
3) The third poster will choose 2 from the second posters list .... and so on.
4) Each participant will have the entire quarter to read their book(s), post their rating and review. And tell us what you think of your book in this thread.
5) You are not limited to 1 time. You can return to select and post more options as often as it suits you.
