ShelfIndulgence | 23 comments The book I'm looking for is about a teenage girl, maybe 16 years old. When she was young, she lived in a foster home where she was abused. She made it through with the help of a boy who also lived at the foster home. The boy promised to protect her and he nicknames her 'Mouse'. Later, she gets adopted by a pair of doctors whose own daughter died. Her favorite book is The Velveteen Rabbit because it relates to her own life. She doesn't like to speak to anyone except for her adopted parents and her best friend. After a few years, she finally decides to enter high school and on her first day, she meets the boy from her old foster home. They end up falling for each other. I think the title of the book had something to do with forever.

ShelfIndulgence | 23 comments I read the book recently, only a couple months ago.

ShelfIndulgencem that's a good start. You need to add plot details (from your comments) to the topic header (title), so someone can recognize your book from that description alone.

We have thousands of YA book requests. We close threads with vague headers.

Click the small "edit" link after the header. This only works on the full Desktop website - not the Mobile website or app. (On the Mobile website, there's a "Desktop version" link at the bottom of the page.)

- Is this mostly a romance?
