Do we have a completion date to meet? Cause if we’re only reading over the course of 14 days for example, and based upon the amount of chapters-that being 67, I’m thinking 4 chapters per day at a minimum should be good and not to overwhelm. How does that work out for everyone else? Thoughts?

I finished the first 4 chapters and I'm already liking where it's headed. Lazlo seems like a very interesting character that I would love to know more about. I'm excited to read more.

I read this book a year ago, and to reread it, it’s like reawakening an ancient magic. Lazlo is so dreamy, I’d love to spend just one day in his mind.

Omg I just read today's portion and I HATE Thyon soooooo much!! I literally want to kill him. Ugh! What a loser!

Lazlo is wonderful. But we didn't get to see a lot of him. Coz part 2 started with a different perspective. But wow part 1 ended so great. I'm proud of Lazlo!

I'm loving them already and I'm excited to see how they will come together with Lazlo and his quest!

So I’m reading along with my audiobook as a companion, and I’ve just finished the first part. Things I’d like to point out:

1. The audiobook does a SUPERB job with the character animation! The dialogue is rich and I’m madly in love with Eril-Fane’s accent. So beautiful.

2. I’m also glad that even though Thyron Nero may have gotten a prized position in travel with the Tizerkane warriors, Eril-Fane saw right through his cocky masquerade when Lazlo began to speak and he tried to downplay him with being “only a librarian.” Priceless!

3. Our guy Lazlo, his strange is finally paying off!

4. The Tizerkane warriors! What were your thoughts/reactions on their appearances?

That entire scene was golden when they arrived in the Great Library. And let’s not forget that moment when he caught sight of the ghost eagle. Could you see it?

okay yes! the Tizerkane warriors seemed really fascinating especially with the fact that they had women in their ranks. I loved them.
and I was gonna mention the white bird, it is also known by the godspawn children. so I'm interested to know it's significance.

does any of u have a doubt that when Eril-Fane and his armies and the godspawn children intertwine in the story, it's gonna create a conflict. coz Eril-Fane probably killed Sarai's mother. so I have a feeling, their meeting is not gonna go well in the future

okay Maddie u are reading ahead of me so I don't know Sarai's power yet. But the others, I'm thoroughly enjoying. They are just so fascinating and fun. And their powers are equally powerful

okay so I just read the part where Sarai's power is revealed and wow I loved reading that part. but yeah Minya scares me too with her control over ghosts mostly for her taste for vengeance

it's fine. I'm generally a fast reader too but I just got out of my fantasy slump so I'm taking it slow. I don't want to push myself into another burn out.

but now I'm really getting into the book too so it won't take me much longer to finish hopefully!

Hi, sorry I haven’t checked in recently, I haven’t been doing much reading but I’m planning to read a lot today.

I'm 60% into the book!!

I fell off for a bit there, but I’m gonna get back on track with you guys soon.

Ok, so I’m halfway through. Getting closer to part IV. However, here are some things that piqued my interest:

1. Lazlo’s relationship or bond with Ruza & Calixte. It seems as if she likes him, idk, what do you think? And I love his & Ruza’s shenanigans, a lot of L.O.L moments there.

2. Eril-Fane & Azareen’s ill-fated marriage by means of the Goddess of Despair and the connection to Sarai. That is likened to having to sleep on a bed of scorpions. Bless Azareen’s heart.

3. Eril-Fane’s mother Suheyla; I adore her! She’s so transparent.

4. My favorite couple finally meeting up in the dream realm. The words given to paint this visual is literally breathtaking. I can almost feel myself being there with them.

5. What are y’all thoughts on Minya? (I’ll wait ‘til everyone comments first).😉

I was trying to say lastly, a memorable quote from their (Lazlo & Sarai’s first meeting is as follows:

I'm reading the part where Lazlo and Sarai are chatting about books in his dream!

This is a reread for me, and there are parts with when they meet that I truly love; reading their dialogue, I swear I can hear them speak to each other, and feel the intensity within their words. So beautiful!
And Minya is very cold. Not an ounce of forgiveness it seems; very manipulative and controlling. But she is the daughter of Skathis, so that speaks in volumes.
