Adriana | 3888 comments Cool avatar pic. Where is it from?
And awesome job on completing your first book :D

message 4: by Cassandra (new)

Cassandra | 5832 comments What did you think of The Graveyard Book? Neil Gaiman is my author for the complete works yearly challenge, so that's on my list for this year.

Good luck with your reading challenge, and congratulations on finishing your first book of the year. :)

It's Gamora from one of the guardians of the galaxy comic books I can't remember which one.
And thank you!

I loved it so much, it was such a brilliantly told story that a little after I finished it I felt a bit deprived of that world. I'm sure you will really enjoy it!

Brooklyn | 68 comments The Titan's Curse
Yesterday I finished 2/30
I never did finish the Percy Jackson series even though I was such a huge fan of it, so that is my current mission!

message 8: by Brooklyn (new)

Brooklyn | 68 comments The Battle of the Labyrinth
Today I finished 3/30
I think I'll be able to finish The Last Olympian by the end of today.

message 9: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3888 comments Oh she's so pretty!
I have to finish the Lost Hero series. I've only read the first two and I can't believe I haven't read the rest. I'm excited about Riordan's Norse god series :D

I can't wait to start it! I'll admit I got back into the series because of Nico Di Angelo and I know he's involved in the Lost Heroes so I'm really excited.
Riordan is such a master with mythology that I really can't wait to see what he'll do with the Norse gods.

Brooklyn | 68 comments The Last Olympian
Today I finished 4/30
I'm so proud of the Hades family in this book!

message 12: by Brooklyn (new)

Brooklyn | 68 comments Eleanor & Park
Today I finished 5/30

message 13: by Brooklyn (new)

Brooklyn | 68 comments Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe
I finished 6/30 today, I'm falling a bit behind!
If anyone can suggest other LGBT themed books that would be great!

message 14: by Brooklyn (new)

Brooklyn | 68 comments The Perks of Being a Wallflower
I finished 7/30 today.

message 15: by Cassandra (new)

Cassandra | 5832 comments What did you think of Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe? I picked it up off the shelf at my library the other day.

Sorry for my late reply! I really enjoyed it, I thought the writing style was refreshing and it had very original characters.

Brooklyn | 68 comments A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier
Today I finished 8/30. This was a book given to me by my teacher to read and I didn't expect to like it as much as I did.

message 18: by Brooklyn (new)

Brooklyn | 68 comments Will Grayson, Will Grayson
I finished 9/30 today. I really do appreciate Tiny Cooper.

message 19: by Brooklyn (new)

Brooklyn | 68 comments The Bite of the Mango
Finished 10/30 yesterday. I found this book a little too easy to read (making it a little dull at some points) but it was pretty good.

message 20: by Brooklyn (new)

Brooklyn | 68 comments To Kill a Mockingbird
I finished 11/30 today. This book was for a novel study at school but it is easily one of the best books I've read recently.

message 21: by Brooklyn (new)

Brooklyn | 68 comments All-New Ghost Rider, Vol. 1: Engines of Vengeance
Read 12/30 today. I'm not really certain if I should include comic books for my reading challenge but I'm going to start doing that since I read comic books almost as much as I read novels.

Brooklyn | 68 comments Holes
Read 14/30. I needed a book to read for the bus so I decided to reread a favourite book from my childhood.

message 24: by Brooklyn (last edited Jul 18, 2015 12:38AM) (new)

Brooklyn | 68 comments Thirteen Reasons Why
Read 15/30 today.

message 25: by Brooklyn (new)

Brooklyn | 68 comments Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda
Read 16/30 today. I really loved this book and it actually inspired me to write more.

message 26: by Brooklyn (new)

Brooklyn | 68 comments Mosquitoland
Read 17/30 a couple weeks ago, only had time to update now.

message 27: by Brooklyn (new)

Brooklyn | 68 comments Pride and Prejudice
Read 18/30 (about a month ago oops, gotta catch up on this list). I love Lizzie's quick wit, it's so much fun to read.

message 28: by Brooklyn (new)

Brooklyn | 68 comments Library of Souls
Read 19/30 awhile ago. This book ended off the trilogy really well, I was very pleased.

message 29: by Brooklyn (new)

Brooklyn | 68 comments Cinder
Read 20/30 a while ago.

message 30: by Brooklyn (new)

Brooklyn | 68 comments Go Set a Watchman
Read 21/30 today. This novel talked about idolizing parents instead of seeing them as people, which is something that I've thought about a lot recently.

message 31: by Cassandra (new)

Cassandra | 5832 comments Great job with your challenge! What has been your favorite book this year?

message 32: by Brooklyn (new)

Brooklyn | 68 comments Cassandra wrote: "Great job with your challenge! What has been your favorite book this year?"

It's hard to say! Probably The Graveyard Book because it was so beautiful with its illustrations and story.

message 33: by Brooklyn (new)

Brooklyn | 68 comments The Lost Hero
Finally finished 22/30 today. I think Leo is my favourite character, I love the puns and his ingenuity.

message 34: by Brooklyn (new)

Brooklyn | 68 comments Deadpool's Art of War
Read 23/30. Comic books make me very happy.

message 35: by Cassandra (new)

Cassandra | 5832 comments I read The Graveyard Book this year too and I enjoyed it more than I thought it would. The whole atmosphere of the story was just the right amount of creepy and cool.

message 36: by Brooklyn (new)

Brooklyn | 68 comments Saga, Volume 1
Read 24/30. The art is gorgeous and the story is fantastic.

message 37: by Cassandra (new)

Cassandra | 5832 comments I'm glad you like Saga! It's one of my favorite comics series. :)

message 39: by Brooklyn (new)

Brooklyn | 68 comments Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe
Read 26/30. This was written in a really neat way with a cool use of addressing the fourth wall.

message 40: by Brooklyn (new)

Brooklyn | 68 comments I'm just going to quickly go through all of the books I read in the last week of December.
Fables, Vol. 1: Legends in Exile
Fables, Vol. 2: Animal Farm
Fables, Vol. 3: Storybook Love
Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man, Vol. 1: Revival
Rat Queens, Vol. 1: Sass & Sorcery
Totalling up to 31/30! They're all comic books, yes, but they're all fantastic and I really suggest reading them.
