This isn't my go to genre, but I try to pick a few each year.
I read Ninth House and didn't like it. Nothing here is jumping out at me, but I will see what others are reading.

It's not my go-to genre either. I considered The Priory of the Orange Tree, but some friends said it was confusing so decided against it. I have read most of the Mercy Thompson series and will read Storm Cursed, but haven't gotten to it yet.

I mostly only read fantasy, science fiction, and non-fiction, but I've only read Storm Cursed.

I will probably read Magic for Liars and Middlegame at some point.

Not dumb at all! When a person wants to read a book that is not chosen as a group read and someone else wants to read it as well, they can set up a thread in this folder to read it together and discuss the book as they go. There's usually some good discussion, so it's a lot of fun. We currently have a buddy read of The Whisper Man going on here. Feel free to come check it out.

Fantasy is actually one of my favorite genres so I've read a few and I've got a few more on my TBR.

These are the ones I've read and how I rated them.
Gods of Jade and Shadow 3 stars
The Priory of the Orange Tree 4 stars
The Winter of the Witch 4 stars

I actually didn't find The Priory of the Orange Tree confusing and liked that it was a standalone novel. Most fantasy books tend to come as a series so finding a good standalone one was refreshing to me.

I think I was first interested in it because it's a standalone and I don't find many of those. It's nice to have a fantasy book that I can read if the mood hits and not get dragged into another series. Fortunately, my library has a copy so if I change my mind I can still read it.

Yeah that's good. It was quite good for me. Not one of the best out there in the fantasy genre, but it's good if you need an escape from the real world.
