Graphic Novel Reading Group discussion

Hi everyone. I just wanted to ask if anyone is interested in reading X-Men ? The team's concept has always interested me from time to time as a group of mutants feared by the homo sapiens for the sake of being mutants, thus generating a lot of hatred towards them.

Great stuff for alienation and discrimination and bigotry themes of stories. For anyone interested?

I was a big fan of the Claremont Byrne X-Men, and went back to the Lee Kirby roots, then I tuned out, so there is a lot to catch up on.

I have read Grant Morrison X-Men, some Bendis X-Men, and some Remender Uncanny X Force.

Recently got X-Men Epic Collection Vol. 17: Dissolution & Rebirth, and I am also reading X-Men: Second Coming, (oh, yeah- House of X.)

So, yes, I would be up for a buddy read or group read.

Do you prefer to Buddy Read X-Men's Grant Morrison from the beginning or Buddy Read X-Men's Chris Claremont from the beginning?

Because we can create a topic for each one of these X-Men series/run, or any other, here in the Buddy Reads forum.

We can start this weekend or perhaps the beginning of next week.

I'm a big fan of the X-Men. I have the DVD's of the cartoons. The X-Men animated series, X-Men Evolution, and Wolverine and the X-Men. I would like to join when you start this buddy reads thingy :)
