Dan | 256 comments Guy Endore (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guy_Endore) famously wrote The Werewolf of Paris, a book we have already read.

I watched the 1935 Bela Lugosi film Mark of the Vampire yesterday (TMC is broadcasting 12 horror movies this month and this was one). Much to my surprise I discovered Guy Endore wrote the screenplay. I am now much more a fan of Endore's work, though I wonder if it's because I so appreciated the cinematography. Considering it was 1935 the special effects were amazing and chilling. Caroll Borland, who I suspect was supposed to be a minor character, almost stole the show as the female vampire.

Anyway, I just think Guy Endore is worth a harder look. I mean, according to the Wikipedia article he wrote 17 novels. Really?! He did a lot for horror, and most appreciate his contribution to werewolf lore.
