I really love this whole friendship theme that’s threading through everything Darrow does. I noted this when we read Red Rising, but it is very much reminiscent of Princess of Mars, when the only way to win is by using strength for kindness and trust, not for fearmongering, and false leadership.

Also, every time Ragnar is in a scene, my brain yells ‘they have a cave troll’. It would be super cool to see him get a crew of his own later, and frighten the pants off all the more evil dudes ships.

Ragnar is interesting. Brave choice to let him in on the big secret, but Darrow us adding honesty to that kindness game
