The culture of Alobar’s people is that of a science fiction movie...to kill your King as soon as he sprouts one grey hair, or loses interest in his array of wives. Thank goodness he had so many wives, with a few who were of great intelligence.

Though I do love his last thoughts in this section, where he ponders if maybe he went a little OTT on the wives, and perhaps one would be enough down in Christian-town. I think Jafar might send Iago out at some point to scout him out though.
