Dianne (dianne1) ...Sucker Punch? It's coming out next month and I seem to be ignoring it. I haven't read anything by her in years except my annual re-read of the old Merry series. I didn't think that LKH used ARC's, has she always? I was denied at Edelweiss but got my copy via NetGalley. I think it is still available if you all want to try.

I think her new editor was trying to get the word out that this was "like old Anita, without sex" with the ARCs.

C.E. Stokes | 11 comments I tried to get an ARC 'cause I wanted to see how the series has progressed and was denied. I stopped reading after Affliction, although I've been keeping up with the reviews and gossip.

I would love to have someone to discuss this book with so I hope others in this group read it and comes back here to discuss it.

C.E. Stokes | 11 comments I tried on Netgalley. I just started with them, so I think that hurt me.

Alyssa | 44 comments Dianne: I don't know if it really has "Old Anita" in it, but it apparently doesn't have any sex scenes, though there are supposed to be a lot of conversations about relationships, feelings, etc.
I think the editor was probably trying to get the word out that it was more like the first ten books in order to get back fans who had left the series.
