YA and Beyond discussion

Taking Heidi's idea, hope you don't mind, I think its time I finish the Rick Riordan's Greek mythology books. Since his new series, involving norse mythology, is coming out, I really want to finish Heroes of Olympus series.

I'm not sure yet if I will re-read the Percy Jackson series just to get into the whole world or just dive in right into The Last Hero

Great idea Bluemmon! So excited for you to finish all those series. I loved them all except the Heroes - but that is only because I have never read it. I started his other series but it was a little too middle grade so did not continue. How are you liking the Heroes series??

HEIDI: I just literally started the first one, but I did love the Percy Jackson series. I think that's why I'm so hesitant to read this series, because I love the PJ one a lot

JENNY: I can't help starting new ones either, but I just have so many books on my shelf that I haven't read and most of them are books from series I have started. So by doing this challenge its like killing two birds with one stone.

Good idea! There are a lot of series I need to finish ... Good luck! ^_^ I've read all the Heroes of Olympus, Lunar Chronicles (except Winter, since it hasn't come out yet), Benny Imura, and Monstrumologist books and those are all great series. Hope you enjoy them!

NBA season just started, so my reading will flounder, but the games keeping my butt in my bed usually leads to more writing :) You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and then you have the facts of life!

I know I will get back into reading more at some point. Right now I barely read 25 pages and pass out! I used to read at least 100 pages a night. As with everything in life it fluxes back and forth.

I have decided to give up on my series challenge for this year. I'm getting really busy with work, the holidays and my upcoming vacation. My reading has also been decreasing since I'm so tired with everything. I barely read anything last month and I have no will to pick up a book. Books that do interest me are books from new series.


I'm so sad cause I was so close to my goal! I really don't know how people can reach their 100+ book goal.

I was an epic fail with mine this year too Bluemoon. But there is always next year! I hope you have a great vacation btw.

I also don't think I'll be able to reach my goal. But hey, we all still read a bunch of books this year and that's great! :D
