Ok I read this section and I have a number of observations to make in no particular order ahah:
1. I love Alys (I’ve already forgotten how to spell her name but it’s something like that)
2. I guesstimate that it was the king that was assaulting Alys
3. It clearly runs in the blood to be a dick cause the prince is such a dickhead like PERMISSION DUDE
4. I love Sorrow so much
5. The prince or someone is totally gonna hurt Sorrow
6. The royalty clearly has something to do with the damsel thing because people don’t just disappear and end up with a dragon, and they definitely don’t all happen to coincidentally have no family and no memories. Also how the hell would the queen know that she has no family! Basically the queen is totally dodgy.
7. This book is DARK, like it went from slow and reasonably light to dark and dangerous and I feel like Ama can’t trust anyone now

Part 3
Harding’s Wall
- [ ] Woah that is so creepy, a wall full of eyes 👀 *shivers*
- [ ] An eye for an eye, eww, what do they do with the eye?

Ama’s Bath
- [ ] Sometimes ladies in court are so annoying and have no respect for others
- [ ] I do hope they treat Sorrow well

The Queen’s Gift
- [ ] Hmmm I am really suspicious of this whole damsel scheme, I feel like the royals have something to do with her not remembering anything but her rescue and then to tell her she has no family? Yeah I am definitely suspicious of what they may have done

Ama’s Visitor
- [ ] Jeez! She can’t even have one night of peaceful sleep! Control yourself man!
- [ ] If it wasn’t for Sorrow, I reckon she would have gotten raped that night

Tillie’s Aunt
- [ ] Oh no! She is a thief too!!
- [ ] Or there is something else going on with this castle
- [ ] Omg could the eyes on the wall be real eyes!! 😱

Allys’ Advice
- [ ] Could the man be the father king? For some reason, she could have told Ama who it was unless it was someone important like the king
- [ ] There is more secrets to this and I can’t wait to find more

Hahaha we have similar thoughts!
Yes. There is definitely something going on, it’s no coincidence all the damsels have no family or memory. And by what Allys said, she has seen damsels that go forward and go backwards, so perhaps the damsel that cam before mother queen must have remembered what happened who she was and then perhaps killed herself? Or they killed her?
Yes I think it was the king too
I know! Poor Ama! Thank goodness for Sorrow but yes someone or the prince will end up poisoning her
I don’t think I can trust anyone right now haha, it definitely turned into a dark side

oh yeah maybe... it would make sense for the royals to kill the damsel if she remembers everything because i doubt the damsels are willing victims. i guess we'll see!

Laysa | 85 comments The wall was super creepy, but let's face it until now things have been very suspicious. I feel terrible about Ama she's confused utterly alone and doesn't seem to have a say in anything.

And what about Ama having no past at all? Doesn't anyone question that? Plus, what kind of kingdom goes around slaying dragons and keeping the damsels for themselves like prizes? That only fuels the idea of Ama being intrinsically connected to the dragon.

That scene in her bedroom was all I needed to establish once for all that Emory is a horrible person. I almost gave up. She's a frightened girl you just met, and you're saying you can control yourself after a few drinks?

Allys is definitely a victim of a very disgusting man. Probably Emory's father, so it's not a surprise Emory is a terrible human being.

This book is nothing of what I was expecting.

And wha..."

Perhaps the people don’t actually know that the damsel don’t have a past to talk about or a family? Perhaps they would question it more if they knew
Yep I also think it’s his father too

It is very different and comfronting to read a book such as this. It is no wonder it has a lot of mixed reviews

Yeah, it's like no one thinks in this kingdom. I mean, the damsel must have come from somewhere right? 🤔
