Here are some helpful tips to help keep the group bookshelf working well.

We encourage everyone to add their novels to the group's bookshelf (must be done on desktop website, not app).

When adding a book:
***DO NOT***
1. Add a date
2. Select 'currently reading'
These will push the book to the top of the group page, cluttering up the homepage if everyone was to do this.

Instead, DO
1. Select the book you want to add by searching in the upper right corner.
2. Choose "shelves". Read and to-read are both safe to use. Also, think about what weeks your book might work for and add those as tags--helpful if someone gets stuck on a week! Many of the tags for the first 10 weeks are probably already available to use!
2.Write a short description. (This is not necessary but can be helpful if anyone wants a quick synopsis. Or even helpful hints like "You must read such-and-such book before this one to understand what's going on.")

That's it! (Basically, everything under the "description box"--just ignore. Heehee!)

To see an example, I have added my Week 4--Book Published This Year book. Go to the bookshelf, and if it's not right at the top, search for "Hexed by Heather Graham". You will see the tags I gave it for what weeks it will work for. If you click "about" under the title, it pops up with my description. At the far right you can click view activity to see a bunch of stuff about it too, including shelves that other Goodreads users have tagged it with. :-)

If you have any questions, please let a mod know. You can even message me yourself! I'll be MORE THAN HAPPY to help!
