Ahhh I forgot how much fun this book is!! Hale is goddamn legend ahahah, I need a Hale in my life. And Lucas.... mmm I can’t wait to get more of him hehe. I love all these characters so much!!! Thanks for making me reread this, Karen babe😘

Ch 1
- [ ] Ah it feels so nice to come back to this world! I miss Claire’s writing and world building!

Ch 2
- [ ] Man I really liked Kasper, really wished he had survived longer than a chapter :(
- [ ] I can’t believe how quickly Callius accused Wren of poison! Like a second a go she didn’t even know magic existed how could she have purposely wanted poison someone she has never met before?

Ch 3
- [ ] Poor Wren, I can’t even imagine what she is feeling right now, alone in a large place and being labelled as a murderer. Not exactly a warm welcoming party

Ch 4
- [ ] I love Hale and especially Sable, she is so independent, strong and fiesty. It’s no wonder she is the youngest grandmaster

Ch 5
- [ ] Hale is so sneaky and so fun to read about I love it
- [ ] I really like Olivia, definitely a ray of sunshine to Wren’s gloom

Ch 6
- [ ] I like how Olivia likes to distract herself during her mourning, something I would do
- [ ] Olivia is so fiesty! Checking out Hale like that ;)

Ch 7
- [ ] Hmm very clever, eating the Gemini poison, works in two ways. Quite interesting I didn’t remember this part of the story
- [ ] I also didn’t remember that Lucas has grey hairs, I wonder why

Ch 8
- [ ] Sable is very Immune to Hale’s charm, or perhaps he always respected her for taking him in

Ch 9
- [ ] Aww cute mini victory! Only to be ruined by Callidus 😒
- [ ] Callidus is definitely very hostile with Wren, I get why, he must have been close to Kasper once but to throw all the blame on Wren from the starts seems pretty immature

Ch 10
- [ ] Marina is so horrible, she deserved what was given to her by Guildmistress Greer/Iris
- [ ] Hmmm Kasper wanted to work with other Guilds that is a reason to kill someone 🤔

Ch 11
- [ ] Aww Wren, I hate how much she suffered when she was on her own
- [ ] Man all those sweets, I feel like making myself a batch of caramels or at least cupcakes 😂

Hey! I’m so sorry for the delay! It’s been a crazy week (when isn’t it 😭😂) but I found time this weekend to read a bit. If you’re still wanting to BR this with me, great! But I totally understand if you lost interest in BR this book, I understand :) x

all good babe! i know life has been super busy for you ahah, hopefully it calms down a bit. i'm still happy to BR this series with you if you're happy to continue! also are you still up to read The Gilded Wolves in September? anyway i'm not gonna ditch you if you're still up to the buddy reads ;) xx

ah I honestly adore you! this is why you are like my go-to friend to BR with cause you get it and you're so patient. which I really appreciate it :)
and yeah of course I'm game to finish this series and read Glided wolves with you! xx

Kasper was definitely a character i would've liked. such a shame
and yeah Sable is so bad as its great especially with solving this mystery she had so much confidence
