Eileen is sick of being 79.
Leena's tired of life in her twenties.
Maybe it's time they swapped places...

When overachiever Leena Cotton is ordered to take a two-month sabbatical after blowing a big presentation at work, she escapes to her grandmother Eileen's house for some overdue rest. Eileen is newly single and about to turn eighty. She'd like a second chance at love, but her tiny Yorkshire village doesn't offer many eligible gentlemen.

Once Leena learns of Eileen's romantic predicament, she proposes a solution: a two-month swap. Eileen can live in London and look for love. Meanwhile Leena will look after everything in rural Yorkshire. But with gossiping neighbours and difficult family dynamics to navigate up north, and trendy London flatmates and online dating to contend with in the city, stepping into one another's shoes proves more difficult than either of them expected.

Leena learns that a long-distance relationship isn't as romantic as she hoped it would be, and then there is the annoyingly perfect - and distractingly handsome - school teacher, who keeps showing up to outdo her efforts to impress the local villagers. Back in London, Eileen is a huge hit with her new neighbours, but is her perfect match nearer home than she first thought?

I'm only on chapter 1, but I'm liking it so far! I'm really busy this week so I'll be a bit slow, reading-wise haha

I said earlier that it was boring, but I’m slowly starting to enjoy it, now that the plot is sort of picking up. Also, I hate Ethan. He's such a dick. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I loved so much this book! I want to be like Eileen when I get old. I was mad when Leena didn't trust at all her grandmother when she told her about Ethan but she just didn't want to accept the fact she wasn't herself when she was with Ethan.

The incident between Eileen and Arnold was so unexpected, they knew what would happen if they gave it a chance but at the end they just belong together (This sounds so cliché and non realistic at all but I WANT THIS). I love how Jackson just wait for Leena, he just said everything he had to say and wait for her, it was so damn cute.

I don't have anything more to say than I loved this book and I can't wait for her new one next year. (hide spoiler)]

Finished (view spoiler)[Whew okay! I liked the ending!! It was so sweet but I don't know... I would have preferred if Leena stayed single for a little bit longer to just heal. I thought that she and Jackson rushed into their relationship lol. Also, I kinda wished we got to see more of their relationship develop. They had chemistry but I was not emotionally connected to their love story haha

I LOVED that Eileen and Arnold got together. They are both so cute together. They deserve their happiness. That's all I have to say.

And that's that. I enjoyed the book but it was average and I expected a bit more tbh (hide spoiler)]
