Book 2 discussion

Finished book 2 last night and yup, things got weird.

Little people crawl out of the mouths of dead blind goats to create an air chrysalis that spawns a clone which is the shadow of your heart and mind. When people ask me what this book is about thats what I am gonna tell em - I am sure it will make them want to read it.

I loved that more details about Fuka-Eris experience at Sakigake were revealed by Aomame reading Air Chrysalis. Such an effective storytelling tool.

Did anyone notice the reference to "going down the rabbit hole" when Aomame tried to return to the expressway staircase?

Im baffled as to what the deeper meaning of all these literary metaphors are and excited to see the fate of Aomame and Tengos relationship and whether they actually get to meet in real life...or the 1Q84 version of it.

Nothing I can prove or argue , but I think we may have something a Murikami version of a Macguffin
