Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12860 comments No one will be able to guess who's in this team by the team name. No-one! ;P

message 6: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Nope. Harder than that, only team Troublemakers :o)

enquiring minds want to know: will you be serving only aphrodisical ingredients? vanilla incense burning throughout your red velvet upholstered dining rooms?

message 8: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments That's the VIP section. We do cater to children and teens after all.

message 9: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Hey Sammy, apparently word came out that our restaurant is the place to avoid to keep the reading distractions at a minimum...

We're not that bad, are we?

message 10: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12860 comments I am sure I have NO idea what they are talking about...

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Oh dear... Is that a real Koala?

(I'm pretty sure it took me a couple of tries before I noticed it)

A real koala cudding a toy koala. Also not the first thing I saw looking at the picture either, lol.

message 13: by Claire (new)

Claire | 4251 comments I'm sure we were all distracted by the miniature koala with the christmas hat behind him. ;)

message 14: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Well, I for once know exactly what aussie native I'd like to cuddle with!

message 15: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12860 comments Apparently the teddies help baby koalas feel safe, because when they're not in a tree they're vulnerable, so they cling on to mummy. when mummy isn't available (as far as I can tell this was a rescue koala from the bush fires), giving them a cuddly toy makes them feel better.

Personally I think cuddling Hemsworth would make me feel better. really ought to find out... in the name of science and all.

I didn't know that about koalas. It's so cute.

I volunteer for a repeat of that experiment. We can't very well draw a conclusion on Hemsworth's cuddling power with just one subject, can we?

Well obviously. scientific experimentation requires many repeat tests (for each subject!), to ensure that results are consistent.

It's a hard job, but someone's gotta do it...

message 18: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Good thing I am a professional and certified tester then.

message 19: by Judith (new)

Judith (brownie72011) | 7434 comments Mod
How many testers are needed? I’m available

message 20: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Well, for once I don't think exhaustive testing would be a bad thing. Specially if done by several entities, to get a more accurate result.

message 21: by Sammy (last edited Aug 28, 2020 04:05AM) (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12860 comments Well, that's 4 volunteers already. I know scientific studies usually involve a slightly larger group, but it's somewhere to start, no? :)

message 22: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments I'm pretty sure Steven will join the testing too.

message 23: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12860 comments I think you're probably right.

message 24: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 8050 comments Ahem. Let's just make it a whole team effort shall we? The more scientific repeatable experiments the better.
Did you say there was a koala in that picture? I'll go look again.

And again.

Morning all!
I am so looking forward to this weekend when I will finally have time to dive into the rules, listen to Karen's explanation of the spreadsheet, and plan out my books!
Also it is maybe going to be under 100 degrees by Sunday. 50 days of over 110 degrees this year. I'm moving to the North Pole.

message 25: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12860 comments It's 10 degrees here now (50 fahrenheit?), and that's supposed to drop to 5 tomorrow.

I think I'm gonna need those cuddles just to stay warm! :D

message 26: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments It's 26 here at the moment. The temps dropped today , but will start rising again during the weekend.

message 27: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12860 comments To be fair, I could happily live with the cold if it didn't rain all day, every day.

Speaking of which, I need to go get food for dinner, so I'm off to get rained on. Again.

Judith (brownie72011) | 7434 comments Mod
It’s hot and super humid here. You walk outside and immediately start sweating. Yeah for the mid Atlantic region of the US.

So what did we do today? Go to the zoo of course. Had fun, covered in sweat, Tiny Tyrant had fun with his cousins so no regrets. Happy Birthday to me 😊

Though I’d rather be in Boston prepping for the Billy Joel concert with our pre-COVID plans.

message 29: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 8050 comments Animals on your birthday! That's not bad!
Happy Birthday!!!!!!! I hope you have a wonderful day, and lots of good food and prezzies.

Did you dress Tiny Tyrant up as one of the animals?

I saw Billy Joel a hundred years ago on his Strangers tour. Really good. If it is rescheduled after the apocalypse, I hope you get to go.

Thanks!

Umm, well his sunhat had beach crabs on it and his tshirt had a t-rex with a pirate hat and a bunch of pizza slices on the sword. Unless that counts, than no, not dressed up like and animal. hehe

message 31: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12860 comments I enlisted some help to wish you a happy birthday...

Nice and I love the look. Though I'm not sure what to think about a Juicy Pale Ale. It fits into our restaurant, but not sure I can picture myself at the bar ordering it.

message 37: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments well...one of the seasonal editions is cherry chocolate stout!

message 38: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Almost show time!

All prepped up?

Time to pre-heat the ovens and set the deep frier oil.

message 39: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 8050 comments Woohoo!

message 40: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12860 comments Lemme go wake up the kitchen slave chef... He's been napping since Wheel ended.

message 42: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12860 comments If not, I suspect we're all going to be in a lot of trouble... ;)

message 43: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12860 comments On your marks... Get set... Bake! Erm, I mean... READ! lol.

message 44: by Claire (new)

message 49: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments You know that cook that freaks out in the middle of the kitchen without knowing what to prepare?

That's currently me trying to pick a book to read.

*sigh*

message 50: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Okay.... So a decision was made. We do have people to FEED after all
