A Tale of Magic... discussion

I love Chris Colter's books. I'm about half way through the Land of Stories series, and when I go to the next I feel like I'm revisiting old friends. I liked this one just as much.

I love how we get to get a backstory on some of the villains. My favorite part about Colfer's books, are the fact that he shows a new view on traditional fairytales. I will say, The prequals aren't as good as the original series, but if you are a fan of the original series, it has some nice world building aspects. Although, the plots for these books, aren't very original, typical characters, so know going in, that you will not get the same sort of plot twists, and characters as the original series.
