SPRINGTIME BINGO CHALLENGE
Rules
This challenge is flexible!
It’s up to you how you want to challenge yourself. You can read one book that covers more than one bingo circle or push yourself to read 9 books over two months.
If you have ideas on books that cover multiple prompts we would love hear them! Of course, NZ setting by NZ author seems the obvious choice.

Hi Sharlene
I'll take part. :) but I already know I wont be able to complete my card as I am reading my favourite book in another group in November.
Thanks for going to this trouble - the bingo card is very pretty. :)

Just an interesting way to get a few more reads in together. I’d be keen to do a buddy read if anyone was interested in reading something I haven’t read?

Carol! so quick to finish a book 📖
Awesome to see a few of us keen to participate.
Remember to have fun reading.
I could organise some fixed time reading sprints during the week. It’s reading as many pages as you can, with others. I could even host on zoom, so we can chat?
say 7-7:30pm on Thursdays, and 7-7:30am on Sundays? would anyone be keen for that? times could be adjusted to suit...

Really enjoying this challenge! I have been trying to read a bit more NZ fiction so this has been a great way to give me a kick start. Thanks for organising it.

I've become a bit slack in my reading and I knew I would have a hardish time getting certain ones (400+ book, a little bit of the 2020 release but may have gotten lucky with a series I really like) so I'll just be happy to scratch off a few!
Yes, like Carlene I knew I wouldn't complete the board & I had some unfinished books on the go & then some reads with other groups. But I started a NZ novel last night.

I thought the 400+ might be a little tricky for some of us, so I’m encouraging you to be creative.
For example if you’re reading a series, and books 1 and 2 are 250 pages each, and you read them both, that’s a tick in my book for this task.
Love to see what you might come up with!

Goodreads has a bug atm where you can't edit your comments, so I'll add this here for now.
Yay! Edit bug has been fixed.
Yay! Edit bug has been fixed.

Also if I read this one then I can hurry up and give it back to the library with the others.
It just makes the 400 page mark and it seems very interesting so I'm ready to read through a lot over the next two/three days after work :)

Thank you so much for taking part and making the challenge your own.

I'm usually useless at these challenges, but this one just worked for me as I had the right books out from the library.
Our challenge has been a little quiet this month.
We've got 10 days left of this Challenge. How's everyone's bingo board looking?
If you think it might help, there is a Dewey's 24 Hour Readathon happening this weekend, so if you've got time to cram in lots of reading this could be the answer. Find out more info here: https://deweysreadathon.wordpress.com...

sorry I have 2 books on the go that will fit the challenge but I was so busy with a temporary job! Im reading one of them at the moment.
I know whatcha mean. I've been finishing an induction programme. I've just scored me a part time job at the Gisborne Public Library :) it's 4 hours every other Saturday... but I feel like I'm going to love it
I was for about a year while living in Tauranga, but I’ve been back in Gisborne for a few years now. Was wanting to volunteer my time to do shelving, but a part time Saturday position came up, so thought I would apply. First day this weekend. It’s good to be back!
I'm just about to start The Conductor by NZ author Sarah Quigley. It's been on my to-read shelf since 2013!

How was The Left Handed Booksellers of London Kathleen?

Sigh. I probably shouldn't have done the graphic novel square or read an Asterix comic for it. The range at our local library is poor.
& I'm just not going to get this challenge completed. Hoefully I'll manage one more square.
