The second set of chapters :))

Ahhh I just finished this set, and the book is gaining more humour, which I love! I ship Enrique and Zofia so much it’s CRAZY, and I honestly feel bad for Hypnos. But I still don’t trust him.... I guess we’ll see is he can be trusted or not. Oh and Tristan and his tarantula are hilarious, I love them ;)

Ch 6 Enrique
- [ ] This was a very interesting chapter, I liked how we got more information on how Séverin lost his House.
- [ ] I like Enrique and his goals and visions for this future. I liked how he never gave up even when he didn’t get the forging ability and instead pursued something similar, history and language
- [ ] Oh no! They’re all captured, now Séverin has to accept the offer of getting the Horus Eye

Ch 7 Séverin
- [ ] I still can’t get over how much I love their relationships with one another
- [ ] I feel so bad for Laila, her forging is both a gift and a curse too
- [ ] I wonder if she will find the ancient book in this story or in the following books after this one
- [ ] It’s so funny when Enrique was so upset that Tristón was found to be prettier than him 😂

Ch 8 Laila
- [ ] Oh my This Hypnos guy is very quick and manipulative. He really knows how to deal with things
- [ ] I hate Laila’s father! How could he treat her so poorly!

Ch 9 Zofia
- [ ] Oh uh! Now Zofia and Enrique have trouble!
- [ ] This plan is fast going downhill

Ch 10 Laila
- [ ] The lover story with Hypnos and Laila was hilarious. Séverin didn’t exactly like it 😂

Ch 11 Enrique
- [ ] Aww Enrique and Zofia are cute working together
- [ ] I had no idea what they were doing with all these maths and letter ordering but I’m glad there are diagrams to help us visual it haha

Ch 12 Séverin
- [ ] Oh my Triston and Severn have been through so much together. I couldn’t imagine being 10 and being served so politely and finally being able to be part of a family and then only to find out that the family had adopted them because of their money and status. It’s so sickening

I love Enrique and Zofia together! They make an awesome pair together !
I agree the humour is top notch!
Yes Hypnos is a tricky to decipher, hopefully he can be redeemed by the end of the book
YES! I love him and Goliath, I love how he tries to include Goliath in everything and no one pays any attention to him or just sighs 😂

I’ve read up to ch 21 yesterday, I’m hoping to finish the book by Monday so we can start the second book of the confectioners series :) I’m really enjoying this book, will definitely want to read the next book too

Ok so are we reading The Silvered Serpents and The Confectioner’s Coup at the same time? Or are we reading The Confectioner’s Coup first and then reading The Silvered Serpents? I’ll try to finish The Gilded Wolves ASAP ;)

I thought we could read Confectioner's coup first (plus Sisters of Sword and Song now ;) ) then Silvered Serpents in November, mainly because I cant find a copy of it on Oceanofpdf or on any other sites that I know. If you can have a look online as well that will be great!
