I read this picture book when I was in elementary between 04-07, I remember it being a hardcover layered book where you could move pieces to look at different parts. The setting of the book is either a haunted house or grave/crypt. I remember seeing spiders scattered throughout the book. The kid looks like part mechanical, you see gears and dust on his inside. One really distinctive part is this weird mechanical heart at the end
