Crystal, Dawn,Lily, Abby, and Grace all walked in wearing their necklaces

Nykelyn walked in, wearing a stunning ball gown that contrasted her brunette hair and medium skin tone. She had the rose which Matteo had picked for her earlier tied with a ribbon around her wrist.

Wilhelmina walked it, followed by Alina.
Beatrice walked in; nervously fidgeting with her necklace.
Alice walked in last, moving towards the back.

Once all the girls had entered and it was time to start, the interviewer began, “Welcome, everyone.” She said, reading from a script, “This is the interview portion of the Selection. This will be a reflection of your speaking skills and how you will perform if you are to be selected as the future queen. Each of you will be asked a series of questions and receive scores based on your performance. First contestant, Bea. Please make your way to the stage.” The interviewer pushed her square glasses up her nose and stacked her papers as her wrinkled and skinny face looked towards the stage.

Beatrice smiled brightly as she walked to the stage, waving at the camera and stopping at the designated spot.

“Hello, Beatrice. Please introduce yourself,” the interviewer said.

"Hello~" Bea smiled, "I'm Beatrice from The Province of Hudson."

“Wonderful, it’s lovely to meet you,” the interviewer said with a routine smile. “Please tell us, why did you chose to enter the Selection?”

"I really wanted to show the greatness that can come from the selection; and I wanted to bring pride to my province." Beatrice answered; nodding her head.

“Wonderful. I’m sure your kingdom really admires you for coming out here,” the interviewer said, flipping to the next page for more questions. “As queen, what would you do for the lovely kingdom of Agira and its neighbors?”

"I would support them and promote peace between us; and I would try to stop conflicts from even arising, for the good of the people." Bea said.

“Sounds like you would make a wonderful queen. Final question, do you think you deserve to win this Selection?”

"I do think I should be considered to win the Selection." Beatrice nodded, smiling.

“Wonderful, thank you, Bea,” the interviewer said, giving a nod as the crowd clapped politely. “Next, please.” She said, looking down at her papers.

Bea waved at the camera again, and left the stage.

Abby walked up smiling

“Welcome, Abigail,” the lady said. “Please introduce yourself,”

"Abby" Abby said smiling. "From Bonita"

The interviewer cleared her throat, taking note of the girl’s informal answer and began to read the next question. “Please describe yourself in 3 words.”

Abby flashed a grin. "Brave, kind and empathetic" she siad doing four words instead of three

‘Four words,’ the interviewer thought to herself, her eyes widening for a moment in disappointment. “Those are beautiful qualities to have. Now, why do you believe you should win the Selection?”

"Because i want to be able to help everyone" Abby said "I want to be able to be a change for good"

The interviewer took notice of the fact that the girl began her sentence with “Because” and let out a barely audible sigh. Good thing she wasn’t judging. “Great. What do you think will draw the prince to you?”

"Like I said before" Abby said "I've been empathetic since a kid. I can understand how people are feeling and i feel those feelings myself. I never want to be in pain and so i don't want others to be either"

“Wonderful. Thank you, Abby,” she said, ignoring the flaws in her answer. “Alice, you’re up next.”

Alice quickly walked over to the interviewer, nodding at her.

“Hello, Alice. Please introduce yourself,” the interviewer smiled, feeling a strange amount of optimism.

"I am Alice Carnegie, from Lakedon." She said; looking at the interviewer, then at the camera.

Alex, sitting in the audience was taken aback by the girl’s sudden confidence. She wasn’t the same girl whom he had talked to earlier. Maybe he had scared her off. The thought stung, but he bit his lip trying to ignore it.
