BookWhispers | 52 comments We already looked at choosing the agents according to your mutual preferences (https://mybookwhisperer.org/2020/09/0...). But the internet is a cramped and wild place. Where exactly can you find reliable agents?

Penelope Swan (penelopekahlerswan) | 191 comments The best place to find an agent is at one of the big long standing writer's conferences. COVID may make that impossible at this time. While you are waiting for this to pass get to know the best of them and save up to attend.

J. Rubino (jrubino) Probably the best online source for agents is AgentQuery.com It is a searchable database that allows you to find an agent who represents your category. https://agentquery.com/default.aspx

I also recommend that writers check out the Writer Beware blog which tracks scams and pitfalls that many writers run into. https://www.sfwa.org/other-resources/...

Hi Miriam :)

Thank you for reaching out! I am interested, and looked at your agency's website; it states "do not send emails to individual agents", but you say we "can" query your directly..?

Have a lovely day :)
