I've ordered my copy from BWB but I'm still waiting for it to arrive!

I’ll post some random questions and thoughts for this section throughout today, but feel free to talk about anything you want just follow the spoiler schedule :)

I loooove multiple POV books, especially in fantasy and space opera so I'm loving it in this one. I feel like so far it's been done well.

I picked up a used copy through BWB and it took a while to get here so I started my reading late. I also discovered page 85/86 has been RIPPED OUT of my copy!
I'm enjoying the book so far. It feels like a pretty basic fantasy novel plot-wise, but it's still fun. I've read a few of the Ravenloft novels so I'm excited to delve into more D&D realms. I like the multiple POVs, though sometimes this feels like it's a little too many POVs, or that they scenes don't stay with them for long enough.
Tristan is really annoying, I'm hoping it's to give him plenty of room to mature in the later book(s). My favorite character is Robyn, she's too good for any of these guys lol. I also have a soft spot for bards, so I also love Keren.

That sucks! Though I'm glad you are enjoying it so far. I haven't read any of the Ravenloft books yet but I probably will at some point. Robyn is my fav as well.

Raechel, has some one given you a pic of page 85/86? If not, I can do it, as soon as I get the book. I should gt a pretty clean copy.
Also, it's nice to be a part of a group who appreciates fantasy writing. Not all of my friends do.

Actually, I posted my complaint on Facebook and one of my friends owns the book and sent me pictures of my missing pages! Thank you for your offer though. Hopefully that's the only hiccup I have in this reading.

I know the feeling.
I know the feeling.
Tristan seems to be maturing a little bit, and I'm really intrigued by the Sisters of Synnoria. I love elves and female knights! I don't know if I can comment on chapter 13, but it's probably my favorite out of the book so far.
I do wish there was a little more proofreading that went into this book, I'm finding a lot of weird errors that were overlooked and it pulls me out of the book.

Spoilers for up to chapter 19 are allowed as of yesterday, for the whole book it will be allowed as of the 29th. I totally forgot to post the spoilers allowed posts lol
I'm really hoping Tristan continues to mature through the rest of the trilogy.

Tomorrow I’ll try to post more in depth, work has been crazy busy and I’ve been dealing with some health problems that have left me physically and mentally exhausted

No worries, your health is important! Get some rest!

I finished the book about a week or so ago and other than it being pretty basic fantasy with a need for a sharp editor's eye, I thought it was great! I'm really sad about Keren, I love bards and he was my fav. Hopefully we'll see Tristan step up in the rest of the trilogy.

Which edition did you read? I know mine says it's a "new recovered edition with a new introduction" and it seemed like it was ok. Grammer was my worst subject in school though so I could have just not noticed lol
I enjoyed this one and I hope that the rest of the trilogy will be enjoyable as well.

Mine just has the 1987 copyright, so I think it's first edition. There were things like the king's name being spelled Byron in some places and Bryon in others. Longship was misspelled at one point. I think the funniest thing I spotted was Tristan's banner being described has having a lone wolf in one instance, then "the great bear" in another, before going back to the lone wolf later on. My guess is their banner was originally a bear before the author changed it to a wolf to match The Pack.
I'm still looking forward to the rest of the series! I know that's not November's book, but it will be cool to see where Tristan goes (and hopefully matures). I hope the Sisters of Synnoria make a return because they were pretty cool.
