Did you finish it? How are you liking The Shining? It is sooo good.
It's the scariest time of the year... and so of course we are going to keep it creepy. Not that King has a lot of non-creepy books. This month I decided to give you all a choice. I haven't read the killer car book Christine, but I have read The Shining. So you guys can pick what you want to read. The Shining is in my top 5 of favorite books from Stephen King and one of the scariest I've read especially if you listen to the audiobook. So if you all want to read that one, it's on the shorter side at around 497 pages. Christine is a whooping 749 pages if you have the Hodder editions like I do.
Christine will be extended into November so that people can take their time or catch up on other King books from this year. I did put up Joyland for November incase you finish Christine or The Shining and want something new to read.
With all of that out of the way lets discuss Christine the main book. It's like I said about a killer car. She has a mind of her own and if you cross her, well....you'll just have to suffer the consequences.
There is a movie for your watching pleasure. The movie came out in 1983 and stars the late Kelly Preston. It's on Amazon for rent for $2.99 or if you have starz its free. I ended up buying the box set https://www.amazon.com/Pupil-Secret-W... on Amazon for $12.96 so if you just want to own 6 other King movies you can do that as well teehee.
If you are going The Shining route. We all know Stanley Kubrick directed that classic starring Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall in 1980. Amazon also has that movie for rent for $3.99. I unfortunately do not own that movie.
