Soooo let me know what are your sentiments right now:
1. How do we feel about Eva? Hustler or Shady?? I haven’t decided yet, but I don’t like how she is now selling drugs considering her mom was an addict 🥴
2. Did Claire take the easy way out?? I would have wanted that MF to suffer! Sabotage his whoollleee campaign ... but that’s just me 🤷🏾♀️
3. & y’all think he killed his first wife!?!? 😫😫😫 Not another one (The Other Woman reference lol) I could be doing too much but something tells me that he had something to do with Claire’s family dying too 👀

1. Eva is shady or better term “was”. There’s no way she was just a drug dealer and needed to flee to the point where she sought out/ set up a stranger to switch places with. Def excited to see how her story unravels. 2. Claire took the scared way out...sis you have no family, you have nothing to lose but your life (which is ironic that her persona dies). But I’m assuming it’s so the plot would thicken. But I’m with ya I would’ve created some sort of scandal to stain the cook image.
3. He and his hit man Bruce definitely murdered ole girl. She’s just gone? I think it’d be too coincidental that two of his wife’s escaped and changed their identities. They probably have her body in a freezer in some off shore location Rory visits occasionally.

Ooooooo I’m a little behind (on page 116 now) and boy oh boy.... I’m wondering if Fish setup Eva or they are about to all get caught. Then when she sees Eva at the Press thingy about the plane crash.... my heart would jump for joy that she’s alive but still wonder what she’s into. I would even begin to think was she sent by Rory....

Eva is a shady ass hustler! She can be both right? Lol. At first I was here for her, until I found out about her drug dealing and nonexistent husband she made up! All this money she made selling drugs, but needed to scam a stranger so she could disappear? But yes, I feel you Adrianna, the daughter of an addict who grew up in the system, now making and selling drugs, possibly putting other families and children in that situation.. 🤔Claire’s plan would’ve been perfect, had Rory not switched up her stuff that morning! As for me, if I were Claire, I would’ve went down swinging. I’m letting everything be known! And I’d make sure I gave a friend copies and proof of all his dirt! Take my life and everything I have, but I’m not going without a fight.
Hell yes he did it! Or definitely had someone do it for him! Either way, he knows what happened. Him and his sidekick Bruce!

1. Eva is shady ! I agree with you girls being disappointed in her for cooking drugs and getting kicked out of Berkeley for it. Knowing she grew up in a system with an addict mother. I have a feeling she had to disappear not because she got caught up with the feds but it has to do with her screwing over Fish. I have a feeling she got greedy!2. I wouldn’t say Claire took the easy way out! She has nothing now ! And she seems like an introvert who doesn’t know what the real world is like. She has been kept in a protected political bubble and now has to make an identity for herself while losing her identity that never really was hers in the first place. Where and how will she start and she now is entangled in Evas shady world ! I can’t wait to see where the author takes her character !
3. I definitely think Rory was involved in the death of his first wife definitely not getting his own hands dirty but someone else who I have a feeling might come out of the woodworks when he announces his running !
Cannot wait to see what happens !

Babbbyy! So this chunk of the text was harder for me to get through, but I made it! And I am glad I did. Let me know what are your sentiments about the following:
1. I can’t fuck with Eva. I don’t live a life of crime, but ain’t you suppose to live by some G code or do I watch too much TV 😂 She played Claire and she snitching on Fish. SIS CAN’T BE TRUSTED!
2. Am I the only one anticipating some love affair with Eva & Liz 👀
3. Claire needs to tighten up! Keep your head down and mind your business. Am I wrong? I just don’t want Rory to find her 😔 Was she right for standing up for the lady at the party?
4. Annnnnnd who was the person that knew Claire at the party??? I don’t see this ending well for sis.
Eva wasn’t really ‘bout that life! Shit started heating up and sis wanted to dip tf out the kitchen. I don’t like the way she played Claire either.I first assumed that Liz was the undercover feds! And that she was trying to pry and find out all she could about Eva. Her interest in her at first was persistent and questionable to me.
If I was Claire, I would’ve stayed in the back scraping plates and washing the dishes! Especially if there’s celebrities there and pictures are being taken. She cut and dyed her hair, but anybody could’ve still recognized her. She was right for trying to defend the lady, because I would’ve done the same thing...just not in this setting where I’m on the run from my husband, AND in a place where smartphones and media is present!
I thought Claire was also the name of the person that was hosting that second party? 😯🤭 Remember she freaked out because she thought somebody recognized her! Sis needs to stay sharp. She keeps fumbling and almost the ball!
Whewww Chileeee!! I’m finally catching up currently reading page 205... Eva was never built for any of this but she’s been good at it for the past 12 years... seems very lonely. Liz has been giving her an idea what a normal life is like and hunny is willing to risk it all!!! Claire got caught up in her feelings at that damn event! Blowing her whole cover!!! Rory is def going to find her ass now..
Are Claire and Eva going to meet up?! Where is Eva going, we keep reading about the prior events up to the crash.. hmmmm

Ugh Eva 💔!! This book was a lot for my blood pressure! However, a little confused and wanted to know if someone can clarify? Did Claire see her her 👀
Vanessa, I felt like Claire saw her but then they didn’t clarify if she actually boarded (but I assume she did based on the last paragraph). I was so so glad Claire got on air and told her truth! But bay bay I was like SHIT the car that picked her up was Rory’s people.
Whew.
I enjoyed this read. Just finished today.

Finally finished the book! As much as I wanted Claire to survive and escape the crazy situation she was in... I almost wanted her and Rory come face to face with each other towards the end. I feel there were so many things the Claire need to get off her chest directly with him that go beyond her interview with CNN. Maybe I’m a drama queen! I just felt that things worked out so quickly after that phone call. Lol
Eva is a fly fox if you ask me... sis checked in and managed to not get on the plane...
If you are new to this, I really like to pop shit and be "judgey" towards the characters in the book. So please be prepared for my unfiltered "oh no she didn't" moments 😂
