There were two mysteries to solve in this story: who murdered the girls and who was killing the former staff. Were you able to keep up with the clues and easily form deductions? How would you rate this as a police procedural?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I thought this book was put together nicely. I enjoyed working through the police procedural even though I was way off.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) It was really well put together definitely. Although a couple of times I had to re-read to make sure I was understanding it. Running the two stories and murder cases did make following all the clues a little more complex.

It was excellent as a procedural, especially as we got to again see the strength of the team as a group and individually.

There were a lot of people to keep track of and when it became clear that there were two mystery tracks, it got more complicated. But, I was able to keep up with most of the details.

Lynn (ftbooklover) Oh I think this is a very good procedural. It was mentioned early on that they might be looking for two different killers, but my perception through most of the book was that there was only one. That was my own mistake, though; not anything from the book.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments It was a good story. My mind was a bit fuzzy this week and I fell asleep every time I sat down to read. I'm sure I missed some important points in the book because I was having a hard time keeping some of the characters straight. I liked the reveal of the killer at the end and was surprised by the twist with Nicola/Beth.
