Sarah (rpprincess1981) | 23 comments I’m looking for a book please help if you can. This one I think was a historical romance or a sci-fi romance that took place on a planet with an older time period. What I remember of the book is that the H is a Royal and h I don’t think was but she married H and she was given control of her guards she decided to change the color of their uniform and even make them a new crest to distinguish them from the king’s guard. The king seemed a bit standoffish at first and made her feel bad about disturbing him while he was busy and not caring about the changes until someone made him see what she was doing for his people. Please help me find it.

Sandra | 19 comments It rings a bell. SciFi Romance. I'll have a look and see if I can find it.

I hope someone finds the right book because it's driving me crazy, too :) I know I've read it...

It's possibly Wray, rather than Grim, as Wray is the Emperor. It's too long since I've read it to remember whether the changed uniforms & crests are in this one or not.

I know I've definitely read that scene.

Sandra | 19 comments And now I'm re-reading Wray, just to find out, of course :)

Rhea May | 8 comments Sandra, I specifically remember the scene, too. It may be Wray, but I wrote Grim because Lisa did a bunch of "transformings" in the book. Though the hero being standoffish, that doesn't sound like either of them...

Sandra | 19 comments Yeah, I thought that too, but they do usually have misunderstandings along the way.

I'll get back into it after breakfast (I'm in Aus).

Definitely sounds like GRIM to me. That's such a wonderful series! There was a part in GRIM where he was impatient with her proposed changes and they had to have a discussion to come to a meeting of the minds. Grim is a relative of the emperor's, a cousin maybe?

Sandra | 19 comments Rhea & Veronica are correct. It is Grim. The Elite King & Queen's Guard were presented with their crests at 70%.

Rhea May | 8 comments Yay! We were right. Thank you, Sandra, for actually checking and aiding my faulty memory :)

Sandra | 19 comments My pleasure, I enjoyed both books again.
