Koren (koren56) | 1597 comments I just saw this true crime book by the daughter of one of my favorite authors. Has anyone here read it? I'm trying to decide if I want to pay full price or wait for the library.

Fishface | 18801 comments Interesting! I toyed with the idea they might be related then dismissed it as a pipe dream...

If it were me I would wait for the library to get it. But that could just be me.

When Ann was alive I always had her latest book on my Christmas list. Perhaps I can wait but now all we have here to buy books is Walmart and their book section seems to be getting smaller all the time. Hubby has no idea how to order anything on line. Just got 3 books from the library today so I will put it on my Amazon wish list and wait a bit. I'm just so curious to see how she compares to her mother.

Koren (koren56) | 1597 comments I've read some of Leslie Rules other books, which mostly deal with ghosts and angels. I know her tone is similar to her mothers. She probably hates it when people compare.

Fishface | 18801 comments Well, nobody's stopping her from using a pen name!

Started this book and absolutely can't put it down. She writes so much like her mother and thankfully she writes an introduction where she talks about her mother and gives a short bio of her mother. Thankfully, she doesnt mind being compared to her mother at all and is actually proud of her mother and all that her mother taught her. I will write more when I finished and post a review but this is definitely 5 stars and a heart.

Lauretta | 6 comments And Rule was and is my favorite author. I don't think anyone can replace her. I have all of the books she wrote. It's because of her, I love true crime!

I would be interested to hear what you think of Leslie. I think her writing style is similar.

What's your favorite book by her? I came into true crime via John Douglas. I sure wish there were a second wave of profilers, but I'm not aware of one.

John Douglas is part of the 2nd wave. The first wave is Russell Vorpagel!
