Theresa | 15500 comments A giant the size of a hummingbird (credit: Rachel Maddow). The lawyer who won decisive cases on gender discrimination that changed my life for the better, and in fact opened doors that allowed me to become a lawyer. Tough as nails, powerful, brilliant, strong, feminine, a trailblazer, a lady and a pitbull - all describe RBG who achieved celebrity status yet remained a wife, mother, grandmother and one fantastic Supreme Court Justice.

Coincidentally, I read the book these last days during the Barrett Supreme Court confirmation hearings. It brought to stark relief for me that Barrett just is not competent to serve on the Supreme Court, which has nothing whatsoever to do with her religious, social and political beliefs and acts. The day I write this, when the Senate confirmation vote is taken, is a dark day for the Supreme Court and an insult to all that RBG was.

I knocked off a star in my rating because I found the book a tad disorganized, even disjointed. I also did not realize, because I was reading it in ebook I think, that the case summaries contained footnotes, only coming upon those footnotes as I went through the appendices after reading it.
