SOLVED: Children's/YA > SOLVED. Children or YA, maybe Fantasy. Sorry I don't remember much. There's a reference somewhere about the quote 'What? all my pretty ones?' [s]

Smiley C | 0 comments Something I read in 2-3 years and the book's kinda old. What I know is it has to be children's or YA fantasy as I at that time don't read much other than those except Agatha Christine (but only Cat among the Pigeons and it shouldn't be). It MAY be A wrinkle in Time or A wind in the door or something similar in style. There's a line saying someone understands how it feels to lost everything, with the quote 'All? All my pretty ones?'
I only find this nagging feeling when I studied Macbeth and the scene when Macduff grieves his lost. At that point I suddenly feel like seeing that quote somewhere before and I desperately what to know where. Thanks so much!

Amanda | 54 comments Messenger by Lois Lowry? There is a scene where the main character quotes the lines from Macbeth, and it makes him think about a women he just met who is afraid of losing her children.
