And sorry everyone. I got locked out of my account this past weekend and I like to have never been able to get it recovered lol
I'm back though!

I regret being unable to join the group reads thus far; my self-imposed reading goals for 2020 precluded adding new titles towards the end of the year. I plan to try this book and The White Prince in the new year and will have a little more wiggle room to join in on new books in 2021. I think a lot of people struggle to keep up with buddy/group reads as the calendar's end approaches. I am not voting in the next genre poll because I know I won't participate on this round (so if anyone hopes to push Romance over the top, I for one won't work against that).
Trana read it (message 3 above) and liked it.

I think you might be right Marc, about December and November being rough months for group reads, and that's why I decided to make a change to December. I'll be posting details later today.
As for The Formerly Dark Mage, I hate that it has so few readers from our group, and I wonder if people started and didn't finish, or just never started.

This book was good, but not a stand-out for me personally. I also get used to reading book series' and so sometimes when I read standalones, I feel like i need more. It has to really be phenomenal for me to be in-love with a stand alone, althought I was excited to read a single in the fantasy genre.
I read the preview on Amazon but it wasn't for me and as I was ridiculously busy these last few weeks, I decided to not read it after all.
Feel free to start A Formerly Dark Mage when you're ready, just be careful about reading this thread in there are spoilers.
