This is available on the Libby App and is a gem of a book about books that any booklover will enjoy. Susan Hill is a writer herself and has presented book programmes on radio and has been involved in publishing also. Her home sounds like it has as many books as the average small library!! She decided that for one year she would acquire no new books and just read what was already on her shelves. This book is a bit like having a friend who is trying to choose which of her books to read next and takes you on a tour of her bookshelves telling you the memories sparked by various books and sharing her views on books in general. You'll be left with an even bigger 'books I want to read' pile but also reconciled to the fact that if such an extensively read person will never be able to read all the books she would like to then neither will you or I!
