The polls have closed and the results are in. A few rather modest changes are coming. Voters indicated that they are satisfied with the lead time between the close of the monthly poll and the book discussion. It will stay six weeks apart.
Voters overwhelmingly decided to keep the notification of the polls availability to a broadcast message to all members.
The majority of voters opted for allowing all members to vote with a gentle reminder that if your book wins, participation in the discussion that follows is encouraged.
CHANGES
Two member nominated book will be included on each book poll. We'll start with the March book poll which will be posted January 24th. Every member can nominate a book and also second others. The two books with the largest number of seconds in the period between polls will be included on the poll. While this first period will be two months long (to work the kinks out). I envision a new nomination period each month.
Two themed months will be added to each year. I'll produce a poll to get some idea of which monthly themes are most desired. (Please don't throw bricks, I won"t list a women's lit theme, the majority of books published and reflected here in the group are by women authors). Feel free to suggest a theme I may have forgotten in the comment section of the poll
